Description of role:

We are seeking a Medical Writer to join our editorial team.

The ideal candidate will have a higher degree in a biological sciences discipline and 1 to 2 years’ experience in a medical communications agency working across a range of deliverables including publications. The successful candidate will be part of a team producing a range of high-quality communication items in accordance with the needs of the client. We are looking for a driven and ambitious individual who will embrace our ethos of delivering scientific excellence through collegiate working, open communication and building trusted partnerships with our clients.

This full-time position can either be home based or out of our office in Manchester City Centre and offers a competitive salary and benefits package and a fun, friendly working environment.


Description of role:

We are seeking a Principal Medical Writer to join our editorial team. The position can either be home based in the UK or out of our office in Manchester city centre.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a biological sciences discipline or life science. You will have a proven track record as a Senior Writer or Principal Medical Writer in a medical communications agency. You are likely to be actively seeking your next career step.  You will already have successfully led typical editorial projects from start to finish, delivering to time and budget and managing the expectations of clients and healthcare professionals.

The responsibilities include:

  • Writing grammatically and scientifically accurate materials, on time and on budget
  • Lead discussions with healthcare professionals and clients in the development of a range of editorial deliverables including publications, advisory boards, training materials and clients’ internal communications
  • Provide high-level editorial advice and support to all members of the account team
  • Reviewing the work of other medical writers
  • Contributing your scientific expertise to business development activities
